  2. info_photo_1327_1.jpg The 2nd Tunnel, which was made by North Koreans to invade South Korea, was discovered on March 19th, 1975. This tunnel is 3.5km long and sits 50~160 meters below the surface. It can accommodate up to thirty thousand people and is large enough for tanks to pass through. Now the 2nd Tunnel is under the control of the Cheolwon-gun Office. Every year hundreds of thousands of people visit this unique tourist destination. The sightseeing course contains the 2nd Tunnel, the Labor Party Headquarter and Woljeongri Station (Cheorui Samgakji Observatory). It's under the control of both the military and Cheolwon-gun office. Soldiers serve as guides on the DMZ tours. Car tours are only available for people that apply for admission at Goseok-jeong (Information Office at the 2nd floor, Jeonjeok-gwan Office). Tourists can visit the Labor Party Headquarter without any application, but have to apply for the 2nd Tunnel and Woljeongri Station (Cheorui Samgakji Observatory) tour in advance.
  3. info_photo_1017_1.jpg Cheorwon Peace Observatory offers a panoramic view of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea) in the central forward area of Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do. From this observatory, one can see the Cheorwon plain, areas of the DMZ, and even North Korea. Photos of the 2nd Infiltration Tunnel, military barracks, checkpoints, and the DMZ are exhibited here. Visitors can easily get to the observatory using the 50-person monorail, see the remains of the ancient Taebongguk (nation), and even see the faces of North Korean soldiers through binoculars.

Used as The House of Labor Party until the break of the Korean War on June 25, it is now one of the tourist attractions that keep the vestiges of the Korean War. This place is also used as a concert hall and a backdrop of a music video to show the grief of the war. The The House of Labor Party Ruins is under the control of Cheorwon-gun Office as one of the Security Sightseeing Courses. Every year hundreds of thousands people visit this tourist destination. It was designated as a Cultural Property on February, 2001.
